Day 136, Karrinyup Waters, Perth, WA

We started the day perfectly with a delicious  breakfast with our friends, at Maison Saint Honoré, that is right across the road from our caravan park. No guessing what this restaurant specialises in!  French is my absolute favourite cuisine.  Crepes seem to be the speciality at this little restaurant and I ordered the vegetarian crepe with a side of bacon.  Forgot to get a photograph but you can take my word for it that it was a huge meal.  Our friends did warn us that the servings were large and they decided to share a meal.  In hindsight that would have been better for Philip and I but today we chose different dishes with Philip choosing the breakfast croissant.  The restaurant also has an adjoining shop that sells the most delicious sweet treats.  From Macarons to Meringues, you name it and one of this little French treats was in the store.  It was extremely difficult to not purchase anything 😩😩

Our time spent in Caversham in the Swan Valley has been a very enjoyable time and more so because we were able to spend time with our young friends.  Mum and the girls came around yesterday afternoon to look over our caravan and devour a plate of pikelets.  Charlotte and Hallie are terrific kids and their parents should be very proud of their parenting because these girls are a real joy to be around.

We woke to a three degree morning today, that I believe is the coldest morning we have had since Mellenbye, but it didn't take long for the sun to show and warm the day up nicely.  Our move today from Caversham in the Swan Valley to Karrinyup Waters went smoothly.  We had asked for a late check out at Caversham and Karrinyip Waters said we could check in anytime after 10.30am.  It is only 20 minutes between the two places.  We have extended our time at Karrinyup and will stay until the 1st September.  One of the hotplate burners in the caravan will not stay lit and the part that we need to repair it won't be here for at least another week so that made our decision easy.  Besides, we have a lot to see and do in Perth.
