Day 173 Bridgetown, WA

Hello from beautiful Bridgetown - the town of many hills!  We arrived at the "almost" free camp around 10.30 only to find it was almost full.  When I say full I mean there were three other caravans here and the whole area, a paddock, only takes four vans, five at a push.  We pay $10/night for water but no power.  There is an honesty box where you drop your money that the owners must collect at some time, but we haven't seen them as yet.

The paddock is not level so we had a bit of trouble getting the van level and in fact we had to hook up again and move it slightly for the levelling system to work.  But it's all good now.  We have learnt from experience that your van must be level to keep you refrigerator operating in top order and also the slide-out appreciates level ground.

We had leftover roast lamb in gravy on sourdough for lunch today, just to keep it simple, and also the leftover Spanakopita.  And then we climbed up onto the bed.  Silly us stayed up late watching Blue Bloods on the television last night.  We have been watching it for years and I never tire of the Regan Family (or Tom Selleck!)

Actually we only rested on the bed and at around 3.00pm we decided to walk part of the Blackwood River Walk.  It's a beautiful walk and we walked for just over an hour stopping many times to enjoy the views.  The path follows the Blackwood River all the way into town and we will walk the path again tomorrow because the River Markets are being held in the morning.  I'm hoping that it is a farmers market so that we can pick up some fresh vegetables.

That is our day in a nutshell.  I have to keep the blog relatively brief today because we have no power and my laptop battery is running low.  Hopefully there will be enough battery left to post something tomorrow evening.
