Day 11 - Woolgooga to Beaudesert

We were told to be at Active Camper by 8.30 am to pick up our camper but at 8.15 they rang to say that there had been a delay and could we be there at 9.30.  When we arrived at 9.30 they asked us to go and have a coffee and it should be ready by the time we returned.  We decided to go for a walk around the point rather than drink more coffee!

Our accommodation for the two nights at Woolgoolga (Woopi for short)

We didn't end up leaving Active Campers until 11.00 am.  It was also just as well that we had asked where the nearest car wash was as we wanted to hose down the vehicle after our mud driving yesterday, because just as we were finishing up at the car wash the young fellow that was working on our camper door came tearing up to us with a seal in his hand.  Yes, he had forgotten to replace it!
Getting ready to re-load the camper
We asked Google Maps which way would be the best to get to Beaudesert from Woolgoolga and it gave us two choices, either along the A1 or the more scenic inland road.  Of course we chose the inland road that took us to Grafton, Casino, Kyogle and then a right turn on the Mount Lindsay Highway.
Mount Lindsay loomed before us and even though it threatened rain all day it wasn't until we were almost at our destination that we came upon rain even though the sun was shining all around us.

Mount Lindsay

My sister, brother in law and two grandchildren where there to greet us as we pulled into their driveway.  It was hugs and kisses all around as we hadn't seen each other for awhile.  The grandchildren have grown so much and are both at that perfect age.
Later that evening my niece and her hubby (parents of the kids) and my nephew and his partner arrived for a bbq dinner.  The meal was delicious with all the vegetables (Onion, zucchini, mushrooms and garlic) tossed on the wood fired bbq plate alongside corn on the cob and jacket potatoes.  It was so delicious and easy to prepare.
We sat around and talked for hours but the weather, once again, turned very chilly so it eventually chased us to bed.
