Days 4 & 5 Maroochydore

Just a quick post to let you know that we are currently at the Rivershore Caravan Park at Maroochydore.  This is another great park with big wide sites for caravans and a huge area for kids to play in.  In fact I would say that it has been designed with families in mind.  Last night we wandered over to the restaurant bar area to listen to the live music and they had someone making balloon shapes for the younger generation.  Such a great thing to keep kids amused.

We didn't stay too long, just long enough to enjoy some Tapas with our beer and wine.  We ordered the calamari and the arancini that were both delicious and as soon as we had eaten we headed back to the van for an early night.  Even here on the Sunshine Coast the evenings are cool.

On our arrival yesterday we were told that we would have to change sites today.  I wasn't complaining though as it is school holidays and we are lucky to be able to get any site at all.  The office lady said to come to the office around 11am to get our new assigned site.  That gave us heaps of time to take a well needed long walk this morning.  We wanted to find the place where we are having the van serviced tomorrow that is just under 3kms from our van park so off we set.  I don't really enjoy walking along main roads but that is the path we had to follow to reach our destination.  Mind you, it was still an enjoyable walk in places and we were surprised to find the Sunday Markets in full swing.  We stopped here to stock up on some fruit and vegetable that we were getting a little low as we will be heading to our sons place at Gundiah tomorrow and there are no shops there!

We found the caravan servicing place easily enough and will be waiting on their doorstep tomorrow at 9am.  It will take the majority of the day for them to check everything over in the van.  Our slide-out is giving us a bit of grief on this trip and keeps blowing fuses intermittently - about every 12th time we open it.  We need to find the cause. My sister suggested that we head to Sunshine Plaza while they are servicing the van, and perhaps take in a movie. That is a great idea and will help fill-in the day.

Back at the van park it took us no time at all to move to our new site that is even bigger than the previous.  By this time we were looking for lunch so Philip and I threw together a Pear & Walnut Salad.  I haven't made this for awhile and I had forgotten how delicious this salad is, and as a bonus it is very healthy.  We didn't need any protein to go with it as I had added a few slices of prosciutto.

So that's us in a nutshell.  The mobile signal at Marco's place is very unstable so I'm not sure how many posts I will be putting up here on the blog.  We will be staying with Marco until Thursday when we will pack up the van once more and head to Leyburn to stay with friends for a few days.
