Finally.....

We have now unpacked our suitcases and sipping the complimentary champagne in our suite onboard Seven Seas Navigator.  The butler has left us Hors d’oeuvres that are chocolaty deliciousness. We are waiting for the “ding dong” call at 5.00pm to muster us all into the lounge area for our safety talk.  Gone are the days when we had to don our lifejackets and wait in our dedicated area for the talk.  I think too many folks fainted of heat exhaustion so they stopped that ritual.
The day so far has been very leisurely.  Buffet breakfast at 9.00am at the Conrad was amazing.  I have seen lots of good buffets but this was another level.  The Fren Family from Travel Guides would be in heaven.
Our suitcases had been collected earlier to be taken straight to the ship and we waited for our call to the bus for our journey to the cruise ship terminal where we checked in and passed through customs.  It was a very fast process.
We were onboard about 1.00pm and after being handed a glass of champagne we were directed to where lunch was being served.  We had the choice of eating inside for a more formal lunch or poolside for a more relaxed meal.  We chose the later.  Philip had hot dog and fries and I chose pork cutlet and salad.

Our Suite was ready at 2pm and we are pleased with Suite 1104.  It is big enough that we don’t trip over each other.

We have a dinner reservation tonight in Prime7 Restaurant.  This is the only restaurant onboard where you need a reservation and I made reservations before we embarked for the first and last nights of our cruise.  We will certainly make many more reservations if we enjoy the cuisine.
I took a few happy snaps as we departed Singapore, knowing that we will return one day.  Next stop Port Klang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
